Felanitx is a quiet town on the south-east coast of Mallorca, not far from the towns of Santanyi, Campos and Manacor. The place of the same name lies in a dreamlike setting to the west at the foot of the mountain "Sant Salvador". The port of Porto Colom, which belongs to the municipality, deserves special mention. The bay of Porto Colom with bathing facilities is only about 15 km away and can be reached in about 15 minutes. The entire eastern part of the island is particularly known for its beautiful beaches and bays with well-kept sandy beaches. These have been awarded the European Blue Flag for good bathing water. The beautiful natural beaches with crystal clear water in the southeast of the island are also easily accessible. From the airport to Felanitx it is approx. 65 km and due to the motorway that has existed to Campos since 2020 and the then very well developed roads, it only takes 40 to 45 minutes to drive. The community is historically one of the wealthiest communities on the island and therefore also has beautiful buildings whose restoration often brings real treasures to light, including natural stone walls, arches or fantastically cool courtyards, which often offer space for a pool. The clearly structured place consists mainly of typical Majorcan town houses or villas with corresponding plots of land. Most houses have small, usually refreshingly cool inner courtyards (patio) or even small gardens. Most of the houses are inhabited all year round, but are also used as holiday homes. This makes the municipality a pleasant place to stay at any time of the year and always lively without being overcrowded with tourists. In Felanitx you will find all things of daily use, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, cosmetics, laundry, massages and post office open all year round in addition to various restaurants and bars. It is only a few meters to the nearest small supermarket. All everyday necessities are therefore easily accessible on foot.
